Nokia Lumia 1520 at a Glance
I have seen many technical reviews on Lumia 1520, specifying the hardware and it's features. Here, I would like to simplify my review while having the chance to experience a 6" smartphone. First of all, this is the standard box design by Nokia for its Lumia series.
In the box, you will find the 1520 unit, an operating manual, charger with detachable micro-USB cable and handsfree headset. Nothing really excite you in the box but the Lumia 1520 itself. A large phablet with big screen size (6" Full HD - meaning super clear and bright touch screen), but you will not realise that it is so big when you are using it.
The uniqueness of 1520 is not just about size, but it's back camera - a 20 mega pixel camera with Zeiss lense and PureView. The camera allows you to take sharp and high resolution images even suitable for printing A4 and above. It has double LED flash light to assist in taking pictures at low light area.

The Design
Let us examine the physical look of 1520. It has a front facing camera on the top left corner of the phone.
Volume button on the right hand side of Lumia 1520 together with the power button and the camera button. The left side of the device is for the Nano SIM card and an Mini-SD card slot. Yes, this is the only Lumia model that uses Nano SIM card. You got to cut it or change your existing microSIM if you want to use the card in this 1520.
On the top, you will find the headphone jack and a smooth square edges. Meanwhile, at the bottom, you will see a microUSB slot for charging your phone and also to connect to your computer for data transfer.
Comparing to Lumia 1320, the size of 1520 is identical except the the edges. 1320 has rounded edges, unlike 1520 with sharp edges, sometime it is painful when you are texting or browsing for long hours.
