Finally, I got the privilege to test on this yellow monster, the Nokia Lumia 1020. I will be sharing my experience of using this Lumia throughout the month and examine my 'Choegraphy' skill using the Nokia Pro Cam installed.
The most talk-about specification of this smartphone is the 41-Mega Pixel Pureview Zeiss camera, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon
™ S4 Dual-Core 1.5 GHz processor. Not the common Quad-Core processor in other high-end smartphone, but running on Windows Phone 8 operating system, it is good enough to run most of the apps and do the tasks we need. It comes with 32 GB mass storage, which in actual, the 'Storage Check' will show only 29 GB and after minus out the operating software (around 2 GB), you will get free space of about 27 GB. For the details of the specification, you can always check it out at Nokia website (the link as below).
I am so lucky to also get a camera grip (Nokia PD-95G) which also work as an external backup battery for the Lumia 1020 (come with 1,020mAh Li-Ion battery). The finishing of grip is so artistic (rounded edges) and designed mainly for photography purposes. There is a dedicated camera button which make the smartphone feel totally like a camera. It may look bulky when attached to the Lumia but the grip is good - it does the work as a grip!

The front and back view of the unit. Shots taken by Nokia Lumia 720, which I will have to hibernate it from now ;)

Getting ready for the Nokia Map...one of the brilliant feature of using Lumia smartphone...Free map to download and not require any data connection when the navigation. |
|
On the right side, there is a dedicated camera button, volume button at the top and the middle is the wake-up button. A few seconds press on the camera button will wake up the camera app. |
|
At the bottom, there is the microUSB port for charging and to connect to the PC. Speaker is located on the right-hand side of the microUSB. |
|
At the top, you will find the headset port for stereo and microphone. The microSIM slot is at the top too. |
Stay tuned for more sharing of
